Los Angeles Souvenir Plate Series

In preparing a body of work for a 2004 solo exhibition at the All Russian Museum of Decorative, Folk and Applied Arts in Moscow, Russia I decided to create a series of souvenir plates with iconic images of Los Angeles. I wanted to share with the Russian audience images of the city I have called home for most of my life. The plates were produced at the renowned Grazia Maiolica Factory in Deruta, Italy where I have enjoyed a successful relationship as a designer of ceramics since 1989.

All plates were designed by Karen Koblitz and produced at the Grazia Maiolica Factory in Deruta, Italy. They are all 11" in diameter.
